Endüstriyel faaliyetler, fosil yakıtların atmosfere salınmasına ve çevresel kalitenin düşmesine yol açmaktadır. Dünya uzun yıllar boyunca çevresel bozulmaya ekonomik kalkınma uğruna katlanılması gereken bir bedel gözüyle bakmıştır. Son yıllarda, ekonomik kalkınma uğruna doğa tahribatının gelecek kuşakların refahını tehlikeye attığı anlaşılmış ve çevre - ekonomi ilişkisi sorgulanmaya başlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada 103 orta ve üst gelirli ülkenin 2012 yılına ait verileri kullanılarak endüstrileşme ve gayrisafi yurtiçi hasıla ile çevresel kalite ilişkilerinin sorgulanması amaçlanmıştır.
Industrial activities caused fossil fuels to emite into atmosphere and environmental quality to decrease. The World considered environmental degradation a price to be paid for long years. In recent years, it is recognized that nature decomposition for the sake of economic growth endanger the well-being of the coming generation and environmental economic relationship is started to be questioned. In this study, by using variables of 103 middle and upper income countries as of 2012, industrialization-environmental quality, gross domestic product-environmental quality relationships are aimed to be questioned.
