Abstract:

The institution of bankruptcy suspension prioritizes the protection of creditors by preventing the deterioration of the situation of the company. In order for a company to be able to apply to court with a bankruptcy suspension demand, it has to be deep in debt and to have a possibility of recovery. The process of bankruptcy suspension contains legal details and the accountant has important responsibilities during this process. This study, firstly offers a summary of the process of bankruptcy suspension. It then focuses on the reasons, which lead a company to this situation and provides some solutions in order to prevent it.
