Araştırma, ouml;ğretmen adaylarının coğrafya dersine olan ilgi duuml;zeylerini ve ilgideki cinsiyet farklılıklarınınbsp; belirlemek amacıyla gerccedil;ekleştirilmiştir. Karadeniz Teknik Uuml;niversitesi Giresun Eğitim Fakuuml;ltesi Sınıf Ouml;ğretmenliği Programında okuyannbsp; 208 ouml;ğrenci ouml;rneklem olarak seccedil;ilmiştir. Seccedil;ilen ouml;ğrencilerin coğrafya dersine karşı ilgilerini ouml;lccedil;mek amacıyla 18 maddelik likert tipi bir tutum ouml;lccedil;eği geliştirilmiş ve ouml;ğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler t-testi ile analiz edilmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuccedil;ları ouml;ğrencilerin coğrafya dersine olannbsp; ilgilerinin duuml;şuuml;k olduğunu ve cinsiyet farklılığı bulunmadığınınbsp; gouml;stermiştir. Anahtar kelimeler: Coğrafya, cinsiyet farklılığı, ilgi duuml;zeyi, ouml;ğretmen adayı, sınıf ouml;ğretmeni Abstract The purpose of the study is to determine student teachers' interest level in geography and gender differences in their interests. 208 students attending Karadeniz Technical University, Giresun Education Faculty, Classroom Teaching Department were selected as a sample. A five-point Likert-type scale was administered to evaluate the students' interests in geography subject. The data obtained was analyzed and interpreted via t-test. The findings showed that the students' interest in geography is low. In addition, no gender is found in interest towards geography subject. nbsp; Key Words: Geography, gender differences, interest level, student teacher, classroom teachers.
