Abstract:

In this study, a material development work was carried out to be used in the teaching of Turkish as a foreign language. The material prepared for this purpose consists of five original songs composed in accordance with the themes. These songs include the various language knowledge subjects, language skills and basic vocabulary (such as template expressions used in the daily language) determined by language levels A1 and A2. Each song has a specific theme. All of these topics were determined and the competencies in the European Joint Recommendations Framework (ECR) were taken advantage of. Repeated expressions in composed songs consist of words and word patterns that are intended for students to learn. The phrases and words used in developed materials have been questioned by the practices made to strengthen what students learn, enrich themes with activities so that themes are more understandable and permanent in mind. The study has shown 5 original materials and activities that can be used to foreigners in the field of Turkish teaching.
