Abstract:

Entrepreneurship is related to a fairly broad field that is in direct or indirect interaction with many fields. The most important criterion for effective management of this area is the coordinated management of interaction and complementarity between national and regional stakeholders. If necessary, developing countries are sensitive in their policies on entrepreneurship, especially in the working life of women who are mainly involved in the economy. The research and policy conducted on women entrepreneurs in developed countries in the steps taken in this regard are leading the developing economies. The study also analyzed the situation of women entrepreneurs in developed and developing countries and assessed women entrepreneurs in Turkey through KOSGEB. In the course of 2012-2020, institutions and organizations that support women entrepreneurs supported by KOSGEB, the types of, the technology groups, the programs they receive support, the sectors they operate according to the NACE codes, the potential of women/man entrepreneurs and the benefits rates have been determined. The data used in the study is linked to the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey. It belongs to the Directorate of Development and Support of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (KOSGEB). In the light of the data obtained, although women in the field of entrepreneurship remain behind compared to developed countries, KOSGEB has determined that women entrepreneurs are encouraged at a level close to men entrepreneurs.
