Abstract:

The aim of this study is to compare the frequency of religious behavior and levels of religious motivation of parents divorced children with parents un divorced children. The method of research is quantum, the design is relative scan. The study’s study group constitutes 102 parents divorced children, 102 parents un divorced children, between 11 and 14 years of age, studying in secondary schools in Kastamonu Illi Tosya district. Personal information form in the collection of research data and Zwingmann vd. developed by the Munchner Motivational Religion Scale, which was developed by the psychometric control of our country, was used to identify religious behaviors such as prayer, fasting, reading the Qur’an, and one-matter questions. The Mann Whitney-U test was conducted to compare the motivational levels of religious behavior of the parents divorced and undivorced groups, the Ki-Care analysis was conducted to compare the differences in religious behavior. Some of the important findings that arise from the research are: fasting, the meaningful difference in reading the Qur’an has been revealed against those who have divorced their parents. In addition, the levels of religious motivation of the parents divorced children have been statistically significantly lower than those of their parents together. But there was no difference between the two groups of men in terms of the frequency of making Friday prayer.
