Abstract:

Today’s work life has an appearance that houses in different generations. In the period of increasing competition, the commitment of different generations members to the organization in which they work is necessary for the organizations to stay standing. Organizations are sustainable and organizational employees are formed according to the level of employment commitment and the organization’s sole goal is to ensure that employees are not separated from the organization. As much as the employees are dependent on the organization, the continuity of that organization is guaranteed. Organizational commitment is one of the final objectives of efforts to preserve the organization’s existence. Because providing a strong sense of commitment to employees makes them work more consistent, productive, with a high sense of loyalty and responsibility and at a lower cost to the goals of the organization. The assessment of the organizational commitments of the different generations involved in the work life is the subject of the work. In this regard, the concept of organizational commitment will first be included, the factors affecting organizational commitment and the behavioral consequences, and then the concept of generation will be studied and the factors affecting the behavioral characteristics of generations, the values relating to the work life and the organizational commitment will be discussed in the framework of social psychology by evaluating the studies that have been done in literature.
