Bu makalede, Türkiye’de hukuk fakültesine kabullerinde kadınlara sağlanan fırsat eşitliğinin, mesleğe kabulde toplumsal cinsiyet kalıp yargılarına dayanan engeller nedeniyle devam ettirilmediği argümanıyla, kadınların hukuk mesleklerine girişinin tarihsel süreci toplumsal cinsiyet perspektifinden analiz edilmiştir. Osmanlı’da başlayan Batılılaşma hareketi, Cumhuriyetin kuruluş sürecindeki hukuk mesleklerinin değişimini de etkilemiştir. Kemalist ideoloji ve feminizm bu çalışmada aktarılan hukukun öncü kadınları üzerindeki ana belirleyicilerdir. Bu çalışmada kadınların hukuk fakültesine girişi ve mezuniyet sonrasında hukuk mesleklerine adım atarken karşılarına çıkan engeller toplumsal cinsiyet perspektifinden ele alınmıştır. Bu süreçlerin analizi sonucunda bulgular değerlendirilmiştir.
In this article, with the argument that the equality of opportunities provided to women in the admission to the Faculty of Law in Turkey is not continued due to the obstacles based on social gender patterns and judgments, the historic process of women entering the legal professions has been analyzed from the social gender perspective. The Westernization movement, which began in Ottoman, also influenced the change of legal professions in the Republic's establishment process. Kemalist ideology and feminism are the main determinants over the leading women of the law translated in this study. In this study, the obstacles that women face when entering the law faculty and graduating in their law professions are addressed from a gender perspective. The results of the analysis of these processes have been evaluated.
