Abstract:

Islamophobia, which means Muslim hostility, is one of the most important problems that Muslims today face globally. Islamophobia, which was based until the establishment of the Endulus Emevi State, gained a new dimension, especially after the terrorist attack on the Twin Towers in the United States on September 11, 2001. Different media forms such as cinema, documentary, news, television series have been widely used for this purpose. In this article, the documentary "Inside the Koran" was drawn up by the documentary producer Antony Thomas, published in different texts and languages; in the film, the Qur'an is thoroughly described what kind of messages about the Kerim and Muslims are trying to be given. The film is analyzed in the context of images, speech, retorical and narrative. This study is important in the sense that the West is trying to reveal what perceptions it wants to create about Muslims with what kind of images, speech, narrative and fiction it is trying to create. The article can also make a significant contribution to the ability of viewers to read such media content critically.
