Tıbbi Cihazların HBYS (Hastane Bilgi Yönetim Sistemi) Entegrasyonunun Sağlık Ekonomisine Katkıları

Günümüzde Sağlık, Bilgi ve Yönetim Sistemleri (HIMMS) ve Endüstri 4.0 ile sağlıkta dijitalleşme devam etmektedir. Gelişen dijital sistemler ve tıbbi cihazların evirilen yazılımları sayesinde programlar, dijital çeviricilerin de desteğiyle tıbbi cihaz verileri hastane bilgi yönetim sistemlerine (HBYS) kaydedilebilmektedir. Fakat HBYS yazılımı ve tıbbi cihazların veri çıktılarının entegrasyonu etkili bir şekilde gerçekleştirilemediğinden tıbbi cihazların izlenebilirliği ve kaydedilebilirliğinde sorunlar devam etmektedir. Covid-19 pandemisinde tıbbi cihazların doğru kullanımı, izlenebilirliği, bakımı ve kalibrasyonunun sağlık ekonomisi üzerindeki etkileri de açıkça görülmüştür. Özellikle ventilatör cihazları verilerinin anlık olarak sadece tıbbi cihaz ekranından izlenebilir olması durumu sağlık ekonomisi bakımından incelendiğinde yoğun bakımı ünitelerindeki müdahaleleri ve yoğun bakım yatış sürelerini etkileyebilmekte olduğundan yoğun bakım maliyetlerini artırabilmektedir. HBYS ile bütünleşmiş ventilatör sistemlerin bulunmayışı ve verilerin online sistemlere aktarılamayışı Covid-19 ve farklı solunum yolu hastalıklarının değerlendirilmesinde, tanı ve tedavi süreçleri için katkı sağlayabilecek bilgilere ulaşılamamasına neden olmaktadır. Ayrıca tıbbi cihazların tamamen dijital olan HBYS entegrasyonunun gerçekleştirilememesinden dolayı, hastanede kâğıt ve zaman tasarrufu yapılamamakta ve buna bağlı olarak kalite süreçleri de etkilenmektedir. Bu sistem geliştirildiğinde gelişen ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerin sağlık ekonomilerinde sürdürülebilir ve çevreci süreçlerin gelişmesine de katkı sağlayacaktır. HBYS sistemine kayıtlı hasta verileri sayesinde farklı branştaki doktorların hastayı anlık takip etmeleri mümkün olacak, hastalığının seyrini değiştirmesi ve erken müdahale imkânı da oluşabilecektir. Yoğun bakım üniteleri ve ventilatör cihazlarının verimli kullanımı ile ekonomik açıdan da etkisi olacaktır. Düşük entegrasyon maliyetleri ve doğru uygulama sistemleri ile ülkemizin gelişmiş tıbbi cihaz sistemlerinin altyapılarını güçlendirerek dünya sağlık literatürü ve ekonomisinde öncelikli bir yere sahip olma yolunda önemli adımlar atılacaktır.

Today, with Health, Information and Management Systems (HIMMS) and Industry 4.0, digitalization in health continues. Thanks to the advanced digital systems and the advanced software of medical devices, the programs, with the support of digital translators, can record medical device data into the hospital information management systems (HBYS). However, the integration of HBYS software and medical devices’ data outputs cannot be effectively achieved, and problems with the traceability and recordability of medical devices continue. In the Covid-19 pandemic, the effects of proper use, traceability, care and calibration of medical devices on the health economy have also been clearly seen. In particular, the data of the ventilator devices can be instantly monitored only from the medical device’s screen when the situation is examined in terms of health economics, it can increase the cost of intensive care because it can affect the interventions in intensive care units and intensive care periods. The absence of integrated ventilation systems with HBYS and the failure to transfer data to online systems causes it to fail to access information that may contribute to the diagnosis and treatment processes in the assessment of Covid-19 and various respiratory diseases. Furthermore, due to the failure to complete the HBYS integration, which is fully digital of medical devices, paper and time are not saved at the hospital and consequently the quality processes are also affected. When developed, this system will contribute to the development of sustainable and environmental processes in the health economies of developing and developing countries. Thanks to the patient data registered in the HBYS system, doctors in different branches will be able to follow the patient instantly, change the course of the disease and the possibility of early intervention. The efficient use of intensive maintenance units and ventilator devices will also have an economic impact. With low integration costs and proper implementation systems and strengthening the infrastructure of our country’s advanced medical equipment systems, significant steps will be taken in the way of having a priority in the world’s health literature and economy.

Today, digitalization in health continues with Health, Information, and Management Systems (HIMMS) and Industry 4.0. Medical device data can be recorded in HIMMS with the support of programs, and digital converters as a result of the development of digital systems and the evolvement software of medical devices. However, since the integration of the HIMMS software and the data outputs of the medical devices cannot be carried out effectively, problems continue in the traceability and recordability of medical devices. The effects of the correct use, traceability, maintenance, and calibration of medical devices on the health economy have also been seen in the Covid-19 pandemic. The ventilator device data can be viewed instantly only on the medical device screen, therefore it can affect the interventions, the length of stay, and costs in intensive care units.  The absence of ventilator systems integrated with HIMMS and the inability to transfer data to online systems cause the inaccessibility of information that can contribute to the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment processes of Covid-19 and different respiratory diseases. In addition, because the fully digital HIMS integration of medical devices cannot be realized, paper and time savings cannot be made in the hospital and quality processes are affected accordingly. When this system is developed, it will contribute to the development of sustainable and environmental processes in the health economies of developing and developing countries. Through the patient data registered in the HIMMS system, it will be possible for doctors from different branches to follow the patient instantly, to change the course of the disease and early intervention. It will also have an economic impact with the efficient use of intensive care units and ventilator devices. Important steps will be taken towards having a priority place in the world health literature and economy by strengthening the infrastructure of advanced medical device systems in our country with low integration costs and correct application systems.
