Çanakkale Savaşı, Türk tarih incelemelerinde olduğu kadar dünya askeri tarih incelemelerinde en çok araştırma yapılan savaşlardan birisidir. Savaşın hemen hemen her boyutu ayrı ayı incelendi. Çanakkale Savaşı’na duyulan bu ilgi ve geniş literatürün aksine incelenmeyeni gözlerden uzak kalan konu savaşın havacılık boyutu oldu. Çanakkale Savaşı hava faaliyetlerini incelen çalışmalar bir elin parmaklarını geçmedi ve ne yazık ki konuya Türk perspektif ve Türk kaynaklarından bakmaktan ileriye gidemedi. Bilinenin aksime Çanakkale Savaşı yoğun bir hava harekâtına sahne oldu. Türk havacılarının Birinci Dünya Savaşı sırasında görev aldığı ilk cephe Çanakkale Cephesi olurken, ilk operatif hava birliği olan 1. Tayyare Bölüğü, Çanakkale Cephesi’nde kuruldu. İtilaf Devletleri de Çanakkale’de büyük denebilecek bir hava gücü bulundurdu. 18 Mart 1915’de İtilaf Donanmasının Çanakkale Boğazı’nı geçmemesi üzerine, çatışmalar müşterek bir harekâta evrilirken, bölgedeki İtilaf hava güce de sayı olarak arttırıldı. Harp sahasına gelen ilk İtilaf hava gücünü barındıran Ark Royal uçak gemisine uçak takviyesi yapılırken, İngiliz Donanma Hava Servisine bağlı 3. Filo’da gölgede konuşlandırıldı. Bu hava gücü daha sonra Fransız deniz uçakları ile takviye edildi. İngiliz havacılar 25 Nisan 1915 çıkartmasında kan denizinin üzerinde uçtuklarını ifade ettiler. Yüksekten ve geniş bakış açısından yaşanan kıyafetin canlı tanıkları oldular. Bu çalışmada 25 Nisan çıkartması öncesinde İtilaf hava gücünün arttırılmasına yönelik çalışmalara ve çıkartma günü İtilaf hava gücünün faaliyetlerine odaklanacaktır. Konu İngiliz ve Türk arşiv kaynakları ve dönemin şahitlerinin anıları ile karşılaştırmalı incelenerek, İtilaf hava gücünün çıkartma anındaki etkinliği ortaya konulmaya çalışılacaktır.
The War of Çanakkale is one of the most researched wars in the world’s military history as in Turkish history studies. Almost every size of the war was studied separately. This interest that was heard to the War of Çanakkale and the subject that was not studied in contrast to the broad literature was the aircraft size of the war. The study of the air activities of the Çanakkale War did not pass the fingers of one hand and unfortunately the subject could not go further than looking from the Turkish perspective and Turkish sources. In contrast to what is known, the Chanakkale War was a scene of intense air movement. The first front in which Turkish aircraft served during the First World War was the Çanakkale Front, while the first operational air union was the 1st. The Tayyare Division was established on the Çanakkale Front. The opposition states also had a large air force in Çanakkale. On March 18, 1915, when the Opposition Navy failed to cross the Çanakkale Gulf, the conflicts evolved into a movement, while the Opposition air force in the region was increased as a number. The Ark Royal aircraft, which hosted the first Air Force of the Harp Field, is supplemented by the aircraft, while the British Navy Air Service is affiliated with the Air Force 3. It was placed in the shadow of the fleet. This air force was subsequently supplemented with French marine aircraft. On April 25, 1915, the British aircraft said they had flown over the blood sea. They were living witnesses of the clothes from the high and wide sight. This study will focus on the work aimed at increasing the opposition air force before the release of April 25 and the activity of opposition air force on the release day. By comparing the issue with the English and Turkish archive sources and the memories of the witnesses of the time, the activity of the Opposition Air Force will be attempted to be revealed at the moment of the launch.
