Abstract:

The social knowledge course is a course taught at the level 4, 5, 6 and 7 of the class, which aims to acquire the skills that the individual needs throughout life and prepare for social life. One of the basic materials used in the teaching process of the lessons is the lesson books prepared in relation to the lesson. In this context, the teaching books must be arranged in a way that will attract the interest of students. It is often seen that biographical writings are used in the curricula because of the subjects, attracting the student's attention and giving the opportunity to reflect the characteristics of the time described in many aspects. This study is primary 4, 5, 6 and 7. Class social information was carried out with the aim of determining how often biographical texts are included in the curriculum books and revealing how biographical texts can be used in social information courses. The research is conducted by the research method. According to the purpose of the research, all of the 4, 5, 6 and 7 class social information books obtained through the Education Information Network (EBA) platform are studied with document analysis, which is a quality data analysis method, the obtained data is presented in tables. There is also an example curriculum for the use of biographical writings in the teaching of social information. According to the results of the research, the frequency of social information in the biographical content in the classbooks was determined, in this scope 264 different biographical content was identified.
