Abstract:

The way for disabled individuals to increase their participation in tourism is to ensure that they can be comfortable in their hotel business and have a comfortable access to the services offered. People with disabilities are faced with different challenges in their daily lives, whether in the hotel business or in the business. In this study, we were trying to identify the problems and solutions that disabled individuals encounter in the hotel business. In the study, a semi-configured interview technique was applied. A single interview form that includes interview questions has been created and conversations have been conducted with 15 disabled guests who reside in the Burdur province and reside in various 4 and 5 star hotel enterprises located in the Antalya region. The research found that the most important problems that disabled persons face in hotel enterprises are the fact that the architectural structure of the hotels is not suitable for disabled guests, the problems that the hotel staff can establish effective relationships with disabled guests are due to the lack of adequate training and the uninterested attitude towards disabled persons.
