Abstract:

The aim of this study is to determine whether the patient safety cultural levels of the 112 emergency health care workers differ significantly according to their socio-demographic characteristics. For this purpose, data have been obtained from 112 people working in emergency health services associated with the Sivas Provincial Health Directorate. In the assessment of the data, the average, the independent sampling t test and the ANOVA test were used. The HGK sub-dimensions were found as the highest "training staff" and the lowest "unpredictable events and errors" when the score average was studied. Participants have a positive patient safety culture. The participants’ perceptions of HGK and the variables of gender, education, title, the unit involved, participation in service training have been determined to have statistically meaningful differences. As a result, it may be recommended that studies are carried out to improve the health culture, as doctors and nurses, women employees, graduates, participants at the "sometimes" level of in-service education, employees in the administrative units and Command Control Center (CCC) and other units are more negatively perceived.
