Abstract:

In the last century, modern capitalist social relations and by bureaucratic methods, daily life has been tried to be controlled in various ways. The day-to-day life, which has entered the area of interest of social sciences, has also been the subject of art. They have shown approaches to art, culture, and thought by influencing the flow of art and routines in both art and everyday life, such as surrealism and Dada. In this door, the handling of everyday life practices in art, clearly gaining impulse, continues today. Specification 1. In the anti-war thought environment that emerged after the World War, the artists also began to question the role of art. Artists and thinkers from many fields such as literature, philosophy, theatre, painting have begun discussions on the necessity of an art that is more related to everyday life, unlike an art in the service of the capitalist system and therefore the ruling class. Arriving to its peak points after the World War in art, its influence has led to root transformations that are still felt in today’s art. This article first tried to explain the concept of daily life with the information obtained from the sources written in the field of social sciences and then tried to study the art historical chronology of daily life and art relationships on the basis of art flows. In this context, with the perceptions of the artists, the daily life, the art relationship reflect in the artwork was tried to be addressed. The research tries to explore the relationship of daily life art with cultural codes into a work of art and to become a political expression through examples of works.
