Bu çalışmanın amacı, fen bilgisi ve sınıf öğretmen adaylarının fen bilimleri dersinde model kullanımına yönelik tutumlarının bazı değişkenler açısından (cinsiyet, yaş, bölüm, sınıf düzeyi, mezun olunan lise türü ve okul öncesi eğitim alma durumu) incelenmesidir. Çalışmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak, Harman ve Alat (2015) tarafından geliştirilen, “Fen ve Teknoloji Dersinde Model Kullanımına Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı ile elde edilen veriler SPSS paket programı yardımıyla bilgisayarda çözümlenmiş, yorumlanmış ve ulaşılan sonuçlar doğrultusunda öneriler geliştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın katılımcılarını bir devlet üniversitesinin Eğitim Fakültesi Fen Bilgisi ve Sınıf Eğitimi Anabilim dalında öğrenim gören 328 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın sonuçları incelendiğinde, öğretmen adaylarının fen bilimleri dersinde model kullanımının cinsiyet, yaş değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği; bölüm, okul öncesi eğitim alıp almama durumu, mezun oldukları lise türü, sınıf düzeyi değişkenlerine göre ise anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği tespit edilmiştir.
The aim of this study is to study the knowledge of science and the attitude of class teacher candidates towards the model use in the course of science in terms of some variables (gender, age, department, class level, graduated high school type and state of pre-school education). The model is used in the study. As a data collection tool in the research, Harman and Alat (2015) developed, "The Approach Measurement to the Model Use in the Fan and Technology Course" was used. The data obtained by the data collection tool is developed with the help of the SPSS package program in accordance with the results analyzed, interpreted and achieved on the computer. The participants of the study are formed by 328 teachers candidates who are studying in the field of science and class education of a state university's Faculty of Education. When the results of the study were examined, it was found that the model use of teachers candidates in the course of science showed significant differences according to gender, age variables; the department, the state of pre-school education, the type of high school they graduated, and the class level variables not showed significant differences according to.
