Abstract:

Shemsettin Sami (1850-1904) has left many literary works behind his short-lived life, taking his place in our literary history. The author has also signed many academic studies on the language along with his literary studies. Although the works are published individually, the writer’s articles are also found in the periodic publications. In addition, the first work of the writer who works in the dictionary field is the Camus-i Fransevî, which he prepared in French-Turkish. It will follow the dictionary of the same name that the Turkish-French has prepared. In this article, we will try to determine the place in the Turkish dictionary of Kamûs-i Fransevî, to illuminate the missing points related to the work.
