Abstract:

The process of rapid change and development in the field of healthcare is also conducted in a variety of studies in terms of professional training and development, so that the surgeon nurses can also follow, apply new knowledge and skills. The Ministry of Health has since 2015 started implementing the "Ameliacy Nursing Certificate Training Program" in various hospitals. The research was aimed at assessing the professional training and development of nurses based on the opinions and experiences of the surgical nurses who participated in the "Ameliacy Nursing Certificate Training Program" implemented in an educational and research hospital. This study aims to evaluate the educational program according to the principles and methods of adult education. This research is an imaginary study in the screening model. The research group consists of 20 surgeon nurses who participated in this training program. Observation and interviews techniques were used. The data collected on the socio-demographic characteristics of the program participants were analyzed using the frequency and percentage techniques of visual statistics. The basic characteristics of the course, which forms the other sections of the study, the opinions of the participants on the course and the recommendations related data were evaluated using imaging analysis. The subjects of the questions presented in the semi-configured interview form are identified, the subjects specified are described and interpreted. According to the study, most of the participants are graduated female nurses. The Ministry’s approved certificate is the main reason for participation. Participants wanted to get training from a more academic staff and found a few educators at a sufficient level. Participants have been constantly aware of the interest and awareness of professional training.
