Abstract:

Many of the world’s leading insurance companies have started investing in blockchain technology. In particular, the change created by Bitcoin in the financial sector has attracted the attention of researchers and scientists who are interested in this subject to create the same change in other sectors. It is expected that the blockchain, one of the major technological transformations in recent years, will affect and change many operations in the insurance business as well as in many areas it is changing. With this study, based on the work done in the insurance sector on the blockchain, it has been attempted to explain the new applications and approaches that can produce solutions to the problems arising in the sector with examples. Due to the rapid change in blockchain technology, we have studied the latest publications as possible in our work. On the other hand, a general overview of the new system architectures that will bring to the insurance industry with blockchain and the basic principles that support blockchain technologies with distributed ide-union algorithms has been presented.
