Bu araştırmanın amacı işbirlikli öğrenme modelinin uygulanmasında kullanılan birlikte öğrenme, okuma yazma uygulama, öğrenci takımları başarı bölümleri yöntemleri ve öğretmen merkezli öğrenme yönteminin “Maddenin Tanecikli Yapısının Anlaşılması” üzerine etkisini tespit etmektir. Çalışmanın örneklemini, 2013-2014 eğitim-öğretim yılında bir Eğitim Fakültesi Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği Programında öğrenim gören toplam 96 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak Ön Bilgi Testi ÖBT Akademik Başarı Testi ABT ve Maddenin Tanecikli Yapısı Testleri MTYT1,2,3,4 kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler tanımlayıcı istatistikler, tek yönlü ANOVA ve Post-Hoc testleri LSD kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Veri sonuçlarına göre, işbirlikli öğrenme yöntemlerinin maddenin tanecikli yapısının anlaşılmasının sağlanmasında öğretmen merkezli öğrenme yöntemine göre daha etkili olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Ayrıca MTYT1,2,3,4 son test puanları için yapılan tek yönlü ANOVA analizi sonuçları, uygulanan öğretim yöntemlerinden işbirlikli öğrenme yöntemlerinin, geleneksel öğrenme yöntemine göre “Maddenin Tanecikli Yapısının Anlaşılması” konusunda daha etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of learning together, readingwriting-aplication and student teams-achievement divisions methods used in cooperative learning model and teacher-centered teaching method in teaching of “The Understanding of The Particulate Nature of Matter” on students’ academic achievement. The sample of this study consists of 96 students from science teacher education program at first-year undergraduates an Educational Faculty during the 2013-2014 academic year. In the study, Preliminary Information Tests PIT , Academic Achievement Test AAT and The Particulate Nature of Matter Tests PNMT1,2,3,4 were used for the data collection. The results of one-way variance analysis applied for AAT and post-PNMT1,2,3,4 scores showed a significant effect of teaching methods aplied in terms of academic achievement. According to these results in “The Understanding of The Particulate Nature of Matter”, cooperative learning methods was more effective than the teacher-centered teaching method in improving the students academic achievement
