SOSYAL BİLGİLER ÖĞRETMENLERİNİN ÖZEL ALAN YETERLİKLERİNİ ETKİLEYEN FAKTÖRLER VE BUNLARIN LİSANS PROGRAMIYLA İLİŞKİSİ

Abstract:

Araştırmanın amacı sosyal bilgiler öğretmenlerinin özel alan yeterliklerini etkileyen faktörlere ilişkin görüşlerini lisans eğitimi bağlamında incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda bilimsel etik ilkelerine uygun olarak Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi’nden mezun olup farklı illere atanmış 12 sosyal bilgiler öğretmeninin görüşüne başvurulmuştur. Nitel yaklaşımın benimsendiği araştırma durum çalışması modeline göre yürütülmüştür. İçerik analizi yapılarak elde edilen bulgulara göre öğretmenlerin, sosyal bilgiler özel alan yeterliklerinin bir kısmını lisans eğitimiyle kazanabildikleri ancak bazı yeterlikler konusunda eksiklikleri olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin en çok Öğrenme-Öğretme Sürecinde Alan Bilgisini Kullanma (ÖÖSABK) konusunda kendilerini yeterli gördükleri Okul, Aile ve Toplumla İş Birliği Yapma (OA ve TİY) alanında ise yeterlik düzeylerini en zayıf alan olarak değerlendirdikleri belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca özel alan yeterliklerini kazandırmada en etkili lisans derslerinin öğretmenlik uygulaması, özel öğretim yöntemleri ve okul deneyimi gibi uygulamalı dersler olduğu ancak çeşitli nedenlerle ölçme-değerlendirme, topluma hizmet uygulamaları, iletişim gibi derslerin ise verimsiz dersler olarak nitelendirildiği görülmüştür.

Factors affecting the special field skills of teachers and their relationship with the license program

Abstract:

The purpose of the research is to study the opinions of social information teachers on the factors affecting their specific field skills in the context of bachelor's education. In accordance with this objective, according to the principles of scientific ethics, a graduate from the University of Ondeon May and assigned to different areas 12 social information teacher's opinion has been applied. The quality approach is conducted according to the state study model. According to the findings obtained by the content analysis, the teachers have found that some of their qualifications in the field of social information can be gained by license training but have a lack of some qualifications. The research has found that teachers consider themselves sufficient in the use of field knowledge in the learning and teaching process; in the field of school, family and cooperation with society (OA and TI) they consider their level of competence as the weakest field. In addition, the most effective degree courses in providing special field qualifications are practical courses such as teaching practice, special teaching methods and school experience; but for various reasons, courses such as measurement-evaluation, social service practices, communication have been classified as inefficient courses.
