Abstract:

The COVID-19 epidemic process has been forced to distance training. When considering the developmental characteristics and school experience of primary school students, it is important to study the distance learning process. The aim of this study is to reveal what class teachers experience in the Turkish lesson in distance learning during the COVID-19 epidemic process. The research methods are preferred in the study. The data was collected by the nine open-end questions form created by the researchers. Forms are transmitted to teachers who want to participate voluntarily by transmitting them to the digital environment and who work in different classes. As a result of the content analysis, the percentage of researchers’ opinions increased by more than 80%. The result of the study found that control difficulties in remote learning, inactivity, lack of participation, low motivation problems, that students don’t want to speak and cannot create the writing product, the disruptive aspects of technology damage remote learning. Teachers also say that distance learning will be effective by providing equal opportunities with the proper design of the event. From the achieved results, it is recommended to complete learning deficiencies with training and work to ensure digital competence and equal opportunities.
