Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the relationship between the knowledge perceptions of the teacher candidates about the development of the program and the literature of the educational program. The research work group consists of 355 final-class students who participate in the summer school program at the Faculty of Education of an university located in the Black Sea Region during the 2018-2019 academic year. A correlational (relational) research model has been used in the research. The research has used the "Cognitive Awareness Scale" developed by Greşilyurt (2013) as data collection tools, and the "Cognitive Awareness Scale" developed by Bolat (2017). Statistical methods based on the presumption of normal distribution were used for the analysis of data. In the study, the perceptions of the teacher candidates on the entire scale of Cognitive Awareness on Program Development in general were found at the "mediate" level. In relation to the teaching candidates' perceptions of Education Program Reading, their perceptions of the scale as a whole have been found to be at the "mediate" level. Another conclusion of the study is that there is a high-level relationship in a positive direction between the teaching candidates' cognitive awareness of Program Development and the perceptions of Education Program Reading.
