Karamazov Kardeşler, Rus edebiyatçı Fyodor Mihayloviç Dostoyevski’nin hayatının sonlarına doğru yazdığı ustalık eseridir. Bir ailenin dramını konu alan roman, bir baba ve oğulları üzerinden kişisel, toplumsal ve dinsel sorgulamaları ele almaktadır. Bu yapıtında psikolojik çözümlemeleriyle insan ruhunun derinliklerini irdelemeye çalışan Dostoyevski, Hıristiyanlık inancını ayrıntılı biçimde sorgulamıştır. Söz (Ordet) ise Danimarkalı sinemacı Carl Theodor Dreyer’e ait 1955 yapımlı bir sinema filmidir. Bu yapıt tıpkı Karamazov kardeşlerde olduğu gibi bir baba ve oğulları üzerinden bir çiftçi ailesinin Hıristiyanlığı sorgulayışını konu edinmiştir. Biri yazınsal diğeri görsel iki farklı sanat alanına ait metinler, birçok yönden benzerdir. Her iki yapıt Hıristiyanlık inancı ile akıl arasındaki çatışma ve uzlaşmayı konu edinmektedir. Hıristiyanlık bu yapıtların kahramanları üzerinden derinlemesine işlenmektedir. Bu çalışmada dinler tarihi bilimi perspektifinde sinema ve edebiyat sanatları bağlamında Karamazov Kardeşler romanı ve Söz sinema filmi yapıtlarında Hıristiyanlığın nasıl işlendiği ortaya konulmuştur. Metinleri ve karakterleri çözümlerken, dinler tarihinin fenomenolojik ve mukayeseli yaklaşımından faydalanılmıştır.
The Karamazov Brothers is a masterpiece written by Russian literary Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky to the end of his life. The novel, which tells the drama of a family, addresses personal, social and religious questions through a father and his sons. In this work, Dostoyevsky, who tries to explore the depths of the human soul with his psychological analysis, has questioned the faith of Christianity in detail. Ordet is a 1955 film by Danish filmmaker Carl Theodor Dreyer. This work, just like Karamazov brothers, was the subject of the questioning of Christianity of a farmer family through a father and his sons. The texts of one written and the other visual two different fields of art are similar in many ways. Both works are about the conflict and reconciliation between Christian faith and mind. Christianity is processed deeply through the heroes of these works. In this study, religions have shown how Christianity is processed in the context of the film and literary arts in the context of the Karamazov Brothers novel and the Word film works. While solving their texts and characters, religions have taken advantage of the phenomenological and comparative approach to history.
