Abstract:

One of the common values of societies is historical personalities. Historical personalities contribute to the development of nations’ cultural memory and to the building of their identities. In this character, Yunus Emre is one of the most important historical figures of the Turkish people. This study conducted a bibliometric analysis of academic research related to Yunus Emre, one of the historical values of Turkish culture. The research model is the work of the state. The study was carried out through publications in the Yunus Order work area drawn from the Scopus database. The VOSviewer (Version 1.6.9) package has been used for social network visualizations. By using the bibliometric analysis method, the academic publications related to Yunus Emre have been studied in terms of the total number of publications, the language of publication, the type of publication, the institutions of the authors, the active journals published, the countries that have been actively researched, the references received by the articles, the source types in the articles and the keywords. According to the results obtained, a total of 31 publications were made on the Yunus Order between 1959 and 2017. The language of the research is generally Turkish. The most frequently published documents are articles, reviews and short reviews. The most contributing institutions to the field of study are Gazi University and Selçuk University. The most active magazine in the field of study is Turkish Culture and Hacı Bektaş Veli Research Magazine; the most active countries are the US and Turkey. Yunus Order is the most referred source type of book in research. The number of posts that they have received is low.
