Abstract:

This study aims to explore the impact of ecological footprint games on students’ environmental literature. The sample of the research conducted using a single group of experimental patterns consists of a fourth and fifth-class students of a state school in the province of Rize, of twelve girls, ten men, and a total of twelve students. Based on the foundations of the mixed method, this study was collected using data, environmental literature survey, the ecological footprint calculation scale applied three times throughout the events and the researchers’ observation form. The games structured in the application of the research, open-end and guided-designed are played to students in classroom and outside classroom. During the study, students calculated their ecological footprints three times. Environmental literature survey environmental knowledge, sensational trends towards the environment, environmentally responsible behavior subdimensions and ecological footprint calculation scale data were analyzed using the SPSS package program using the independent sampling t test method. The study found that ecological footprint games positively influenced students’ environmental literacy.
