Abstract:

The national identity of the Azerbaijani Khanate manifests itself in all aspects of men's national clothing. The models, fabric and ornamental features of men's national clothes during the khanates, the form and character characteristics of the clothes are examined, it is determined that there are various ties between them and these ties are trying to integrate themselves into modern culture in the process. It is clear that the interactions established between Azerbaijan and other nations for centuries, especially different cultural heritage identities, also influenced men's national clothes during the Khanate period in Azerbaijan. The symbolization and embodiment of this effect has made a place for itself on clothes. It is evidence how the Azerbaijani identity is inherited and preserved through male lines. Especially in the period of the Khanates, the fact that these national clothes are replaced by modern clothes in the process of showing different cultural heritage identities provides opportunities for designing clothes suitable for the era by using new methods and techniques without breaking away from traditional culture.
