Abstract:

The growth and development of companies in the sports industry and their survival in competition are significantly influenced by the results of economic output such as profit rates and productivity levels. However, the fact that these results are positive for the sports company is closely related to the competencies, knowledge level and good work performance of the company's employees. It is expected that individuals who have made the right career plans during their training and have received training that contributes to their career development will be more successful in their work. The success of the employee directly impacts the success of the company. The purpose of this study was to investigate the awareness of the Faculty of Physical Education students about their career, their clear goals in choosing a career, their beliefs about their skills and occupations, the adequacy of the education they received, and their thoughts about the correctness of their career choice. As a result of the study, it was found that career awareness was high on average among athletic training faculty students who provide workforce for the athletic industry, and that there were differences in terms of class and department variables. It is believed that the study will help the sports industry, which is a growing industry, in the selection of its workforce. It will also shed light on whether courses and training should be offered to provide career awareness to athletic training students during their education.
