Abstract:

Abstract: Although Ankara is the center of Turkish National War of lndependence and the capital of the Republic of Turkey, istanbul, having served as capital to the Ottonıan State for centuries, has continued to be the center of art and culture. However, taking slowly her place in literary works, Ankara has also growıı important authors. One of these authors is the storywriter and ııovelist Nazlı Eray. The way Nazlı Eray deals with Ankara in her works is distinguished from other city ııarratioııs. Ankara has a special status among cities, which are perceived as a "personage", an " oııtological entity" in Nazlı Eray's ııarrations.
