Ankara, the city, which stands for over 2500 years is one of the oldest settlements in Anatolia. Until the war of independence, Ankara was far-off from war related situations. In those years, Ankara hosted important meetings that changed the fate of the country. Its strategic location, its proximity of telegraphic and railroad network, and its proximity to enemy occupied places showed that the city was built in a safe place. On 27 December 1919, when Gazi Paşa came to Ankara from the hills of Dikmen, the city became the heart of the national struggle. In 1923, a small country city, the capital of Turkish Republic, Ankara, is a symbol of a great body and the idea of a campaign. In addition to being the political headquarters of Ankara, we can see that the city plays an active role in literary life. The city, which is a barren, neglected, small provincial town in the middle of Anatolia, has largely been the source of the national struggle novels. In this study, the situation of Ankara in the national struggle years will be depicted in the works we selected. The works that will be the source of our study are Halide Edip Adıvar-Türk's Fire Test, Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu-Ankara, Aka Gündüz - Dikmen Yıldızı.
