Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the relationship between the level of conformity to university life and the level of self-discrimination in university students. The sample of the study was made by a total of 276 university students, including 68% women (189 girls) and 32% men (87 male students) who studied in various departments of the Ushak University Education Faculty and accepted to participate voluntarily in the research. This study was done according to the relational scan method. In the study, participants used the "Made of Self-Discrimination" to determine the level of self-discrimination and the "Made of Compatibility with University Life" to determine the level of conformity to university life. Analyses were conducted through the SPSS 23.0 package program at .05 and .01 levels of significance. The data obtained was tested with correlation and linear regression. Research findings have found that the variables of adaptation and self-discrimination to university life do not differ significantly according to gender. There has been a positive and meaningful relationship between university life and self-discrimination at a medium level.  According to this, it can be said that the level of self-discrimination of university students increases, the level of adaptation to university life increases.  It has been found that self-discrimination in university students has a positive role in adapting to university life. This can also be explained by self-discrimination that students adapt to their level of university life.
