Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı, Türkçe Öğretmenliği lisans öğrencilerinin konuşma kaygı düzeylerini belirlemektir. Veri toplama aracı olarak Sevim’in 2012 geliştirdiği “Öğretmen Adaylarına Yönelik Konuşma Kaygısı Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaya 2015-2016 eğitim-öğretim yılında Gaziosmanpaşa Üniversitesi Türkçe Öğretmenliği bölümü öğrencilerinden 200 kişi katılmıştır. Araştırmada betimsel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler frekans ve yüzde hesaplamasıyla çözümlenerek yorumlanmıştır. Bulgulara göre, öğrencilerin konuşmacı odaklı kaygı düzeylerinin genel olarak yüksek olduğu, bu sonucun çıkmasında öğrencilerin özellikle alan bilgilerini yetersiz hissetmelerinin, özgüven eksikliğinin ve topluluk karşısında konuşma konusunda yeterince pratik yapmamalarının etkisi olduğu görülmüştür. Yine araştırma sonucuna göre öğrencilerin çevre odaklı ve konuşma psikolojisi kaygı düzeylerinin düşük düzeyde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu sonuçlardan hareketle konuşma kaygısının azaltılması konusunda çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract:

The purpose of this study is to determine the speech anxiety levels of undergraduate students in the department of Turkish Langue Teaching. “Speech Anxiety Scale on Teacher Candidates” developed by Sevim 2012 has been used as the data collection tool. 200 people being the students in the department of Turkish Teaching in Gaziosmanpasa University in 2015-2016 school year has participated in the study. Descriptive survey model has been used in the study. The data attained from the study have been interpreted by analyzing with the frequency and percentage calculation. According to the findings; it has been observed that the speaker-oriented anxiety levels of the students are generally high and the fact that they feel themselves insufficient especially in terms of the expertise in their field, they lack confidence and they do not make enough practice in the issue of giving a speech in front of a society have an impact on the occurrence of this result. Again; according to the results of the study, it has been detected that the environmentoriented and speech psychology anxiety levels of the students are at a lower level. As a result of these results; various suggestions have been made in the issue of decreasing the speech anxiety
