Ölüm, yaşam içinde kaçınılmaz bir gerçek olarak karşımıza çıksa da bu gerçeğin kabullenilmesi zor olmakta ve neticesinde yas tepkileri ortaya çıkabilmektedir. Bu yas tepkilerini yetişkinler gibi çocukların da verdiği görülmektedir. Ayrıca bu tepkilerin yanı sıra süreçte psikolojik sorunlar ortaya çıkabilmekte, bireylerin yaşama uyumları zorlaşabilmektedir. Bu anlamda çocuklara gerekli yardım ve psikolojik danışmanlık hizmetlerinin sunulması faydalı olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada babasını kaybeden ve yas tepkileri gösteren sekiz yaşındaki bir kız çocuğuna, danışmanlık sürecinde projektif bir teknik olarak resimlerden, bilişsel davranışçı terapi teknikleri ve oyun terapisi tekniklerinden yararlanılarak psikolojik yardım hizmetleri sunulması amaçlanmıştır. Danışmanlık sürecinin etkililiği çocuklar için “Travma Sonrası Stres Tepkileri Ölçeği” (ÇTSS-TÖ) öntest-sontest sonuçları ve betimsel verilerle test edilmiştir. Çalışma bulguları sonucunda, danışanın travma sonrası stres tepki düzeylerinde azalmanın olduğu saptanmıştır. Bunun yanısıra, danışana yönelik yapılan gözlemlerde, danışanın kendisi; ailesi ve öğretmeninin yaptığı değerlendirmelerde yas tepkilerinde azalmanın olduğu görülmüştür.
If death comes to us as an inevitable truth in life, it is difficult to accept this truth, and as a result, regret reactions can arise. These reactions are seen by children as well as adults. In addition to these reactions, psychological problems may arise during the process, the adaptation of individuals to life may be difficult. In this sense, it is useful to provide the children with the necessary assistance and psychological counseling services. The study aimed at providing psychological assistance services to an eight-year-old girl who lost her father and showed regret reactions, using images, cognitive behavioral therapy techniques and game therapy techniques as a projective technique in the consulting process. The effectiveness of the consulting process for children has been tested with "Posttraumatic Stress Reactions Scale" (CTSS-TÖ) pre-test-sontest results and visual data. The findings of the study found that the consultant’s posttraumatic stress reaction levels were reduced. In addition, in observations made to the counselor, it was seen that the counselor himself, his family and his teacher’s assessments in his regret reactions were reduced.
