Abstract:

This study was done to determine whether the level of social skills, gender and class level in primary secondary school students can bear the level of internet addiction. The study was conducted on a total of 558 students, including 283 (50.3%) girls and 275 (49.7%) men, who went to 6th, 7th and 8th classes in the districts of Çukurova and Seyhan of Adana. The study used the personal information form prepared by the researcher for the purpose of gathering data, the Internet Addiction Scale and the Matson Social Skills Assessment Scale in Children. The data obtained was studied by logistical regression analysis and resulted in negative social behavior sub-scale scores, gender and class level of internet addiction levels were low or high.
