Abstract:

The apartment, which has a simple and simple shape, is home to the past and the future of the moment. Our world, the sun and all the planets, the metal coins, the eye to see, are in the shape of the apartment. This geometric form has been one of the strong symbols for mankind since the past period to this day. Symbols appear to us in the form of a concrete, graphic display of thoughts or abstract concepts. Since the early ages, the form of the apartment has been symbolically part of life. Keep in the form of the installation of the settlements, but the many forms of power, the eternity, are in the form of the apartment. Symbols give us areas of thinking. The symbolic way of thinking that exists in man appears in the works of the artists. The form of the apartment that contains different meanings in it devotes the idea of eternity without the beginning and end. Many artists who work with the formalistic approach use the shape of the apartment in their works. In this study, the places where the form of the apartment is symbolically seen have been investigated. From the traces of the apartment form, which is such a powerful transmission power, on the social memory, the artists working with this concept and the reasons for treatment have been studied through their works.
