Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to study the relationship between the organizational socialization of pre-school teachers and the levels of extinction. In line with this objective, it has been studied whether the organizational socialization and extinction levels of pre-school teachers differ according to gender and mandate period. In the study, the "Organizational Socialization Scale" developed by Kartal (2003) to measure the organizational socialization levels of teachers, and the "Maslach Extinction Reserve" adapted to Turkish by Ergin (1992) to measure the extinction levels. The sample was randomly determined by the method of gradual sampling from the universe and the study was conducted with a total of 230 teachers, including 210 women and 20 men. In the analysis of data, in addition to visual statistics such as frequency, arithmetic average and standard deviation, the Kruskal Wallis test, the Mann-Whitney U test and the Pearson Correlation Scorecard were used to determine the relationship between the variables. The study found a meaningful reverse relationship between the organizational socialization of pre-school teachers and the levels of extinction. According to this conclusion, as the level of organizational socialization rises, the level of extinction decreases. In addition to this, both organizational socialization and extinction levels of pre-school teachers have been seen at the middle level.
