Abstract:

The aim of this study is to evaluate the mediation role of self-capacity perceptions in the influence of individual’s emotional intelligence characteristics on entrepreneurial intentions. The data related to the study, the Erzurum Atatürk University School of Economics and Administrative Sciences business department student 238 participants were reached by applying the survey. The model created for the purpose of studying the relationships between the variables subject to the study was tested with the structural equality model. The results of the analysis showed that the perceptions of self-capacity in the impact of the emotional intelligence characteristics of the participants on entrepreneurial intentions played a full intermediate role. In the study, unlike previous research on the intention of entrepreneurship, the impact of emotional intelligence on the appearance of the intention of entrepreneurship and the role of self-capacity in this relationship are emphasized and the results obtained are discussed within the relevant literature.
