Abstract:

One of the topics that have been frequently discussed recently is the topic of the total weekly classes hours of primary schools and how many hours these classes are included in the schedule. The opinion of class teachers on the lessons and lessons taught in primary schools in the National Education Ministry [MEB] strategic plan, the objectives included in the decisions of the Education and Education Council [TTKB] is important to determine whether primary schools are achieved or not. This study aims to illustrate the opinions of classmates working in primary schools about the weekly class schedule of primary schools. In this study, the screening model was used. The work group is made up of teachers who have been working in the primary schools in the district of Kırıkkale for ten years and more. The "Teacher Interview Form" was prepared by the researcher semi-configured in order to determine the views of teachers in the study group on the weekly lesson hours of primary schools. Data collection is carried out through the conversation of the data collection tools. 48 teachers were interviewed. In the study, the "Content Analysis" approach was used in the phase of solving and interpreting the data obtained from the interviews results. According to the study, classmates mainly pointed out that the reduction of the weekly lesson hours in primary schools; that the lessons included in the weekly lesson schedule and the weekly lesson hours of those lessons were not compatible.
