Abstract:

In this study, the aim of high school teachers is to reveal the levels of innovation management of their own school managers and to determine the dimensions of innovation management. In this direction, the teachers' branch, the level of learning, the seniority in teaching and the gender of the director have been studied. The study was carried out at the professional and technical Anatolian High School located in the 11 districts of İzmir. As an example, 30 official professional and technical Anatolian high school directors and 562 teachers who served in the 2019-2020 educational year were taken. According to the purpose and approach of the study, the data is created by quantum research method. The data was collected by the scale of the Innovation Management in Schools. In the identification and analysis of data, arithmetic average, standard deviation, anova and t-test techniques have been used. According to the study, the teachers’ perceptions have determined that the school directors’ level of innovation management is high. Teachers have perceived at a high level that school managers prioritize the assignment of physical fields in the school, monitoring the new developments in the field of education, clearly encouraging learning and effort to innovate and to contribute to the development of the school. In addition, the level of innovation management of school managers does not differ significantly according to the gender of the school managers, the time of service of teachers, the level of learning of teachers. However, according to the teachers' branches, it shows significantly different levels.
