Abstract:

The aim of this study is to determine the levels of physical activity of students, the levels of physical activity and the relationship between the various variables such as division, class, age, gender, smoking and alcohol use. The research group consists of 208 students studying in the Department of Recreation, Training and Body Education and Sports Teaching of the Faculty of Sports Sciences in the 2014-2015 spring period. The study included 36.5 percent of women and 63.5 percent of men. The International Physical Activity Survey Short Form (IPAQ) has been used to determine the levels of physical activity of students at the Faculty of Sports Sciences. In the statistical analysis of the data, SPSS 22 software program was used. In the analysis of the data, “frequency, percentage and KiKare” was used. In statistical analysis, the level of significance was accepted as.05 . According to the results of the study, when the frequency and percentage distribution of physical activity levels of students studying at the Faculty of Sports Sciences was assessed, 59.1 percent of students found that they were engaged in sufficient levels, 33.2 percent found that they were engaged in low levels of physical activity, while 7.7 percent found that they were not physically active. There were no statistically significant differences in the levels of physical activity of students in terms of division, class, gender, alcohol and smoking.
