abalık kurumunun erkeklik performanslarının tamamlanmasının kanıtı olarak öne sürülmesini ele alan Özlem Özgür’ün Türk Sinemasında Baba Temsili isimli kitabında, Delphi tekniği kulanılarak geliştirilen veri toplama yöntemi ile parametreler oluşturulmuş ve örnekleme dâhil edilen filmlere yönelik uygulama gerçekleştirilerek, nitel değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır. Çalışmada, iktidarın erkekle eşleştirilmesinin belirleyicisi olarak ataerkillik, ‘erkekliğin tamamlanabilmesi’ için gerekli görülen aşamalar çerçevesinde irdelenmiştir. ‘Erkek olmak’ için gerekli görülen geçiş aşamaları, yani sünnet, askerlik, iş bulma, evlilik ve ardından çocuk sahibi olup babalık sıfatını kazanma, gelişim sürecinin toplumsal karşılıkları ile ilişkilendirilmiştir. Babalığın, “erkek bir ebeveyn ve onun çocuğu arasındaki biyolojik ve sosyal ilişkiyi ifade eden olgu” olduğu tanımından hareket eden çalışma, Türk toplumunun kültürel yapısındaki baba motifi ile Türk sinemasında baba temsilleri arasında nasıl bir ilişki bulunduğunu ortaya koyma amacını taşımaktadır. Bu doğrultuda kitapta; “Filmlerde babalık temsillerini yeniden üreten temel öğeler nelerdir?”, “Filmler baba figürünün geçirdiği değişimlere ilişkin hangi temsilleri sunmaktadır?”, “Filmler aracılığı ile babalığa dair temsiller ile ülkenin toplumsal, kültürel ve politik yapısı arasında nasıl bir ilişki bulunmaktadır?” sorularına yanıt aranmıştır. Buradan hareketle bu çalışmada, 1960-2014 yılları arasında çekilen ve amaca yönelik örneklem ile seçilmiş filmlerde babalığın temsil edilişi irdelenmiştir.
In the book named Baba Representative in the Turkish Cinema of Özlem Özgür, which discussed the conclusion of the masculine performance of the abdomen institution as proof, the data collection method developed using the Delphi technique was created and the application for the films included in the sampling was carried out, quality assessments were made. In the study, as the determiner of the matching of power with man, paternity has been drawn up in the framework of the stages that are considered necessary for the "completion of mankind". The transitional stages considered necessary for 'to be a man' are associated with the social rewards of the development process, i.e. sunset, military, job finding, marriage and then childbirth. The study, which is based on the definition of paternity as "a phenomenon representing the biological and social relationship between a parent and his child", aims to reveal how the father's motivation in the cultural structure of the Turkish society and the relationship between the father's representations in the Turkish cinema exist. In this direction, in the book, "What are the main elements that re-product fatherhood representations in films?"What representations are the films about the changes that the father's figure is experiencing?"What is the relationship between the films and the representations of paternity and the social, cultural and political structure of the country?" Asked for answers to questions. From here to here, in this study, the representation of the fatherhood was focused on the films taken between the 1960s and 2014s and selected with the aim-oriented sample.
