Rekabetin küresel boyuta ulaştığı günümüz şartlarında sahip olunan yetenekler, firma başarısı için belirleyici bir role sahiptir. Bununla birlikte değişken çevre ve pazar yapısına uyum için dış çevre bilgisi ve bu bilginin mevcut bilgiyle bütünleştirilerek firma yararına kullanımı, firmanın yetenekleri gibi maddi olmayan kaynaklarını artırdığı gibi yol haritasını belirlemesinde de kritik öneme sahiptir. Bu çalışmanın amacı özümseme kapasitesi, stratejik planlama yeteneği ve firma performansı arasındaki ilişkileri incelemektir. Bu kapsamda İstanbul ve Gebze’de bulunan ve üretim sektöründe faaliyet gösteren firmalarda görev yapan 211 yöneticiden anket yöntemi kullanılarak veri toplanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizleri sonucunda, özümseme kapasitesinin stratejik planlama yeteneği ile pozitif ilişkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca stratejik planlama yeteneği ile firma performansı arasında da pozitif bir ilişki olduğu saptanmıştır.
The skills possessed in the current conditions in which competition reaches the global dimension have a decisive role in the company’s success. However, for adaptation to the changing environment and market structure, external environmental knowledge and the use of this information to the benefit of the company, integrated with the existing information, has a critical importance in determining the road map as it increases the non-material resources such as the company’s capabilities. The aim of this study is to study the relationship between absorption capacity, strategic planning ability and company performance. In this context, data were collected using the survey method from 211 managers who are located in Istanbul and Gebze and operate in the manufacturing sector. The analysis of the data obtained found that the absorption capacity was positively related to the strategic planning capacity. It has also found that there is a positive relationship between strategic planning and company performance.
