Abstract:

The main objective of this research is to determine the language learning needs of courses learning Turkish at the Warsaw Yunus Emre Institute. The data of the study, Iwai and others (1998) used in their studies called Japanese Language Needs Analysis, was collected by Changal (2013) in a Turkish-adjusted form, making validity and reliability. The universe of research consists of 109 courses learning Turkish at the Yunus Emre Institute in Warsaw in 2015. In the analysis of the data, the percentage, the arithmetic average, the t-test and the one-way variance analysis (ANOVA) were used. According to the data obtained from the study, the language learning needs of the courses learning in the Warsaw Yunus Emre Institute have shown themselves in four subdimensions, respectively: inter-class communication, individual interests and needs, education and business opportunities and trading. Although there was no significant difference between the language learning needs of the courses and the age, gender and curriculum levels, there was a significant difference between the language learning needs and the educational conditions and the time of participation in the course.
