Abstract:

The purpose of the research is to identify the teaching candidates’ sustainable development awareness. The examples of the study are 790 teachers candidates who are studying in Class Education, Social Information Education and Science Information Education Main Sciences. The results of the study found that the environmental-ethical awareness points of the teacher candidates, the social-social awareness points and the environmental-economic awareness points were above the average point. The variables of the study are gender, section and class level. When it comes to the gender variable, the environmental and economic awareness scores of female teacher candidates are higher than the male teacher candidates. When you look at the class level variable, 2 and 3. Students have a greater awareness. Looking at the department variable, class education has found a meaningful difference in favor of the students. With regard to the proportion of dimensions of the sustainable development scale, the relationship between environmental-ethical awareness points and social-social awareness points is seen in a high-level positive direction. There is also a low-level positive relationship between environmental-ethical awareness and environmental-economic awareness points and between social-social awareness and environmental-economic awareness points.
