Son yıllarda sıkça gündeme gelen değerler eğitimi, eğitimde de üzerine çalışmaların yoğunlaştırıldığı bir kavram olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Kültürümüzün önemli bir parçası olan Karagöz metinlerinde de bu doğrultuda birçok değer bulunmakta ve bizlere aktarılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Türkçe ders kitaplarında yer alan Karagöz metinlerindeki değerlere odaklanılmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı, amaçsal örnekleme yöntemi ile tespit edilen Karagöz gölge oyunlarını adalet, dostluk, dürüstlük, öz denetim, sabır, saygı, sevgi, sorumluluk, vatanseverlik, yardımseverlik değerleri açısından incelemek ve Türkçe öğretiminde bu metinlerin değer aktarımında sıklık ve yüzde dağılımlarını tespit etmektir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan doküman analizi kullanılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak T. C. Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı 2019 Türkçe Dersi Öğretim Programında verilen değerlerden hareketle oluşturulmuş olan “Değerler İnceleme Formu” kullanılmıştır. “Değerler İnceleme Formu”, gölge oyunu metinlerine uygulanmış, bu yolla değerler tespit edilmiş ve öğretim unsuru olarak kullanımı örneklendirilmiştir. Formda olmayan değerler araştırma kapsamına alınmamıştır. Verilerin analizinde yüzde ve frekans kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi 1990-2014 eğitim-öğretim yılında kullanılan 5, 6, 7 ve 8. sınıf Türkçe ders kitaplarında yer alan 17 adet Karagöz gölge oyunu metinlerinden oluşmaktadır. Karagöz metinlerinde sıklık ve yüzde açısından en fazla sevgi ve saygı değerlerinin yer aldığı görülmüştür. Araştırmanın sonucunda Karagöz metinlerinin büyük bir oranda öğretim programında kök değerler kapsamında yer alan değerleri yansıttığı tespit edilmiştir.
In recent years, the values that have been presented often come to us as a concept where the study is focused on education. This is an important part of our culture, and there are many values in this direction that are transmitted to us. This study focuses on the values in the Karagöz texts contained in the Turkish curriculum books. The purpose of the study is to study the Shadow Games of Karagöz identified by the purpose method of sampling in terms of the values of justice, friendship, honesty, self-control, patience, respect, love, responsibility, patriotism, utility and to identify the frequency and percentage distribution of these texts in the translation of value in the Turkish teaching. Document analysis, which is one of the quality research methods, was used in the research. As a data collection tool, T. C. National Education Ministry has used the "Values Review Form" which is created by movement from the values given in the 2019 Turkish lesson teaching program. The "Values Review Form" applied to the shadow game texts, thus the values were identified and the use as a teaching element was sampled. Non-form values are not included in the research scope. Percentage and frequency are used in data analysis. The examples of the study consist of 17 Karagöz shadow game texts included in the 5, 6, 7 and 8 class Turkish curriculum books used in the 1990-2014 educational year. It has been shown that the most frequent and percentage value of love and respect is included in the Karagöz texts. The research has found that Karagöz texts reflect values within the framework of root values in a large part of the curriculum.
