Abstract:

The study aimed at examining the levels of professional pleasure and organizational identification of the competition judges according to some demographic variables, in addition to determining the relationship between professional pleasure and organizational identification. A total of 124 judges participated in the investigation. The study used five material personal information forms as well as the "Professional Assessment Scale for Judges" developed by Karaçam and Pulur (2018) and the "Organizational Identity Scale" developed by Mael and Ashforth (1992) and adapted by Polat (2009) to Turkish. For statistical analysis of the data obtained, the SPSS 22.0 program has been used. The data is presented as frequency, percentage (%), average and standard deviation values. In addition to this, the Independent Samples t test, One Way ANOVA, has been used to determine the differences between the variables. The arbitration profession has been used by Pearson's Correlation Analysis to determine the relationship between pleasure and organizational identity. At the end of the study, it was found that the level of professional pleasure and organizational identification of the judges did not differ significantly statistically according to the variables of the civil status, the professional group, the arbitration category, the number of competitions held in a season (p>0.05). By the variable of the time of arbitration, the level of professional enjoyment of the judges is statistically significantly different (p<0. (5) In contrast, it has been found that the organizational identification levels of the judges do not differ significantly statistically according to the variable of the period of arbitration (p>0.05). In addition, the judges have found that there is a positive relationship between the professional pleasure and the level of organizational identity (p<0.05). As a result, the competition judges can say that the professional pleasure affects the organizational identification in a positive direction, that the demographic variables do not differentiate the professional pleasure and the organizational identification.
