İkinci Yeni’nin farklı söylemini anlamlandırma konusunda Ece Ayhan ve Hüseyin Cöntürk tarafından atonal müzik kavramına başvurulur. Bunun yanı sıra Hilmi Yavuz, Behçet Necatigil’in Kareler kitabının atonal bir karaktere sahip olduğunu iddia eder. Sözü edilen şair ve yazarların bahsedilen vasıflandırmaları, Türk şiirinde atonal müzik karakteri gösteren şiirlerin tartışılması gerektiğini düşündürür. Bu makalede, İkinci Yeni ve Behçet Necatigil’in şiirleri merkeze alınarak Türk şiirinde atonal müzik yapısını kullanan şair ya da bu yapıya sahip şiirlerin tartışma konusu yapılması amaçlanmaktadır.
