Abstract:

Karamanlılar Anadolu’daki Türkçe konuşan ve yazılarında Yunan alfabesini kullanan Ortodoks Hristiyanlardı. Özellikle Anadolu’da (Karaman, Konya, Kayseri, Isparta, Burdur, Aydın ve Karadeniz vb.), İstanbul, Suriye ve Balkanlarda yaşadılar. Karamanlılar aslında 11. yüzyılda Anadolu’da, özellikle Toros dağlarına Bizans tarafından yerleştirilen askerlerdi. Bunlar Bizans ordusunda paralı asker olan Türk (bilhassa Peçenek ve Kuman Türkleri) boyları idi. Daha sonra zamanla Ortodoks Hristiyan inancını benimsediler. Şu anda çoğu 1926’daki nüfus mübadelesinden beri Yunanistan’da yaşamaktadır. Biz, bu çalışmada Karamanlıca bir kitaba göre Karamanlıcadaki Arapça ve Farsça kelimelerin fonetik özellikleri üzerinde duracağız.
