So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

It is believed that to understand and recognize the gifted students and their characteristics more precisely is meaningful and vital for their families and educators. Because of this the aim of this study is to investigate the relationships between the perfectionism, depression and anxiety levels of gifted and normal adolescents. Descriptive research methodology was used in the study. The study was carried out in T.C. Beyazıt Ford – Otosan Primary School in which a special program is being prevailed with the cooperation of İstanbul University Department of Special Education. 129 ( 5. , 6. and 7. graders) gifted and normal students were included in the study group. The data of the study was derived from “Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale”, “Children’s Depression Inventory” and “Continuous-State Trait Anxiety. Inventory for Children” and the derived data were analyzed by using SPSS-13.0. The derived data showed that gifted and normal students’ perfectionism, depression and anxiety levels are not significantly different from each other.
