The purpose of present study was determining self compassion and trait anxiety levels of student special educators. Participants were 605 students (189 boys, 416 girls) special educators from Special Education Department of University of Marmara and Special Education Department of Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University. Self Compassion Scale was administered to determine self compassion levels and Trait Anxiety Scale was administered to determine trait anxiety levels. It was found that average of self compassion scores were in normal spam and self compassion total scores but it was found that trait average of anxiety scores were high. It was found that there’s a strong negative correlation between self compassion and trait anxiety. Key words: Self compassion, special education, trait anxiety
